Choosing Wall Art for Our Palm Springs Dining Room
We’ve been staring at blank walls for the past four months & figured it was time to start shopping for Wall Art, particularly pieces that reflect the Vibe of Palm Springs (our new home). When it comes to furnishing, we believe less is more + Trevor and I are pretty OCD about keeping clean spaces. For this reason, we decided to search for one large wall piece to hang over our mid-century table.
We took a trip to World Market in Palm Springs in hopes of finding what we were looking for. Lucky for us, we found just that – a cactus art piece framed in gold. It had the nostalgic color of old Palm Springs photos, a boho feel and it played well on the colors of our upholstered chairs.
The chairs above were handed down to us by Trevor’s Mother. They were originally his aunt’s in the 60s. The upholstery is still the same as it was then. Truly mid-century.
To keep things simple & clean, we found a modern wood leg (faux) plant to place in the corner of the room – less maintenance.
While we feel there is still a lot of work to be done, we’re so excited to see the place come together piece by piece.
